When videos started to grow popular on the Internet in the past couple of years, the Internet Marketing landscape started to change.

Affiliate Marketing was not exempted, either.

The most classic mistake people tend to make in affiliate marketing is not capturing the opt-in leads first before sending their visitors to the merchant’s website.

So what smart marketers often do is that they would have their own Squeeze Page for the visitors to opt into their list, before sending them to the website they are an affiliate for.

This is so the affiliate marketer can build his own opt-in list and do his follow-ups later.

A few but exceptionally smarter marketers, on the other hand, take this to the next level.

=====> THEY IMPLEMENT VIDEO MARKETING, TOO.

You probably notice most top Internet Marketing experts are now using videos on their Squeeze Pages. And smarter affiliates are also doing the same for their own, for one obvious reason:

=====> VIDEOS CAN SKYROCKET YOUR TRAFFIC AND SALES CONVERSIONS!

Unfortunately, the problem with video marketing is that to begin with, you have to know how to make your own videos.

And even if you could do your own videos, what if you learn that the affiliate program doesn’t convert well for you after all?

Affiliate Power Videos remove all these barriers.

Cool Traffic Trick: Link Roundup

Hey Everybody,

I received this cool email from Kim Roach yesterday that I thought was worth passing on. Kim always has great stuff.

Here it is:

I hope you’re just as excited as I am that the weekend is finally here!

But before you put your party hat on, I want to share a cool traffic trick that I just discovered.

This one is super simple and can bring you hundreds of extra visitors.

Here’s how it works…

First, you need to go to Google and type in the following search queries:

“Daily Link Roundup”
“Weekly Link Roundup”
“Monday Link Roundup”
“Friday Link Roundup”
“Link Roundup”

If you want to find blogs that are specifically related to your market, then you can add a modifier. Something like:

“Weekly Link Roundup” + parenting
“Weekly Link Roundup” + marketing
“Weekly Link Roundup” + moms

Simply attach your main keyword to the search query.

This will give you a list of blogs that do weekly link roundups. Link roundups are basically where blogger’s post their favorite links and articles each week in what’s called a Link Roundup.

Best of all, there are thousands of blogs that do this on every imaginable topic.

Now here’s where you come in…

Once you’ve found a related blog that does link roundups you can then contact the blog owner and send them a link to your very best content from your own blog.

If you’ve published truly great content, then there’s a very good chance that they will link to you in their weekly link roundup.

This gives you a high-quality backlink and sends you some laser targeted traffic.

This is an extremely powerful technique that I see VERY few people using online.

But it’s super simple and can send you lots of highly-targeted traffic.

Have Fun!

Optimizing For Google: Proper Keyword Selection

Optimizing for Google and getting your site on Google’s coveted first page is not difficult with a little work and know how. If you’re new to Internet Marketing you probably realize that just launching a website that looks cool or even that has great content is by itself, not enough to get you on the first page of Google. You must employ sound SEO tactics to achieve the desired results.

What follows is the first post in my series on basic “onsite” SEO tips that will get you started. keep in mind, there is no magic bullet. There are however tried and tested methods which work and which have to tweaked occasionally as Google adapts and changes its algorithms. What works today may not work next week.

Step 1 – Keyword Research. Yeah, I know, it’s been beat to death but the truth is, not choosing the right keywords is the death nil to countless aspiring online marketers.

There are essentially two kinds of keywords. Research keywords and buying keywords.

If you are trying to sell a product and earn quick profits, you want to avoid “research” keywords and concentrate on keyword phrases that people who are looking to purchase a product or service are querying Google and the other search engines with.

Let’s use “dog training” as an example. The term “dog training” is extremely broad. A Google search for this term returns 39,000,000 results. However Google actually helps you in defining search terms. See the screen shot below.

When you type in the term “dog training” Google actually provides you with more specific search queries.

The more specific you are in your search term the greater your chances of (1) ranking high in Google and attracting buyers. For example, the search term “dog training collar reviews” has much fewer results: 477,000. And when put in quotations, the results are only 37,100.

By adding the term “REVIEW” to your keyword phrase you will generate interest from dog owners who are looking to purchase the best collar for their particular dog.

Click the Google “Option” button and open the Wonder Wheel feature for even more keyword research!

Here are a few examples of Buyer Keyword Phrases…

“How to lose weight before a wedding” (desperate for a solution)
“How to restore deleted files” (desperate for a solution)
“Acne Free in 3 Days” (looking for a specific product name)
“Suunto X9i” (looking for a specific product name)

Get the idea?

In my next post, I’ll cover “Optimizing Meta tags”. Even though Google does not rely on certain “meta tags” there are meta tags that are a must for high SERP in Google.

I recommend you subscribe to my RSS feed as I will be adding to the series regularly.
