It’s A Dog Eat Dog World Out There, The Internet Is No Exception!

As I sit here tonight recalling the events of today, I realized that the old saying, “It’s a dog eat dog world out there,” holds so very true.

I spent the day out with my twin grandsons at a local park. The sky was blue and the weather was great. We had already eaten our picnic lunch, and the day was going along perfectly. Just as I looked up, the most disturbing thing happened! This large pitbull broke loose from its owner and attacked this very small dog, injurying it quite badly.

As if that wasn’t enough, the behavior of these two men were appalling! The owner of the pitbull just stood by and watched his dog rip up this little dog. He didn’t even try to stop it! Meanwhile, the little dogs owner was doing all that he could to separate these dogs. All of a sudden the two men were fighting and yelling some really horrible things at one another. In the end, the small dog and its owner were beaten and badly injured.

I saw the similarities of that event, and starting a new business. It doesn’t matter if the business is a brick and mortar or an online business, just starting out, your like the owner and his little dog. Doing all that you can with limited information, and no one to help you. The larger and more powerful taking advantage just because they can. Being beaten down, humiliated, as well as emotionally and financially injured. With you being the owner and your business being the little dog, I know you’re wondering what can you do to change the situation. The biggest question is,”How do I protect myself and my little dog?”

The answer is simple. First, you need to do some research. Second, you need help and advise from an expert in your field of interest. Third, you need to remember three very important things–(1) You can do this, (2) Never give up, and (3) Knowledge is power.

Research and find the answers to these questions and any others you may have. What is it I want to do? What needs do be done? How do I do it? What can I do to set myself apart from the pack? Do I have the skills necessary for the tasks involved? If I don’t have the skills, where can I find or get them? How much time will be involved? Do I have the time to do it all on my own, or will I require help? How and when should I outsource? When do I need help or advise from an expert?

Finding an expert in your field of interest can be challenging. There are many “Guru’s” out there claiming to be “The Expert!” While, its true many of them have become successful and have made alot of money, they don’t always tell you everything. They have a tendency to leave out some relevant piece to the puzzle. Then you have the scammers. They give you just enough information to get you hooked, take your money, and leave you to figure it out by yourself.

I hope you have found this article to be of some help in your endeavor. I wish you good luck and much success!
