Article writing is a proven method for growing your online business. Well written articles published in articles directories such as EzineArticles, GoArticles or ArticleAlley are ranked well in Google and can drive a ton of free traffic to your site.

But what it writing isn’t your forte? Here’s an easy to emply strategy that I use to write 3-4 articles everyday.

Once you’ve chosen a topic (or if your re-writing a PLR article) you should select your ‘keywords and keyword phrases’. This is the first step to basic Article SEO.

If you need help with keywords try Google’s new “Wonder Wheel” feature. Just go to Google, type in a keyword, then go to “Show Options” and then select “Wonder Wheel.”

Google Wonder wheel can help you filter keyword results and find the most relevant keywords related to the original searched keywords and find the actual keyword that you are looking for.

How To Write…

1. Tell them what you’re going to tell them – The Intro.
2. Tell them – the Body
3. Tell them what you told them – Summary

Bio Box…

One or two sentences about yourself and then a lead to your promotion. Here’s an example;

“Did you find these TIPS on ‘YOUR SUBJECT’ useful? You can learn more about how ‘YOUR SUBJECT’ can help you ‘XXX’ here, ‘www.yourdomain.com’.

A lot of article directories do not allow direct linking to an affiliate page. A better strategy is to send your readers to a squeeze page where you can capture their name and email address and build your list of subscribers.

Article writing or “bum marketing” as it’s known, remains one of the most effective ways to generate free traffic.

If you don’t, get ready to not make any sales or very few sales. Furthermore, chances are when the customers you made a few sales too, find out the product doesn’t do what you said it would, they are going to ask for a refund. However, the real damage caused by this is your loss of creditability. In other words these people will never buy from you again.

Now let’s look at another truth about article marketing successfully on the Internet.

One of the most successful article directories on the World Wide Web today is EzineArticles.com. Christopher Knight, the owner and prolific article writer of EzineArticles.com, advocates that when you write articles you should keep the articles short and to the point. His suggestion is to keep your articles between a minimum of 250 words to a maximum of 1000 words. Mr. Knight’s reasoning behind this is today’s readers want their information as fast and quick as they can get it. Frankly, he is absolutely correct.
